#notmypresident (2017) was created for Lola38West's public art project on the construction fence surrounding the former University City High School in Philadelphia, USA. Controversially, embroidering onto an American flag, I hoped contradict the stress that President Trump's Travel Ban was causing in the community around me by putting out a message of welcome and comfort. Each flower design represented the national flower of nationalities that make up the multicultural population of America. The text "ALL ARE WELCOME" is just discernible.
